The first time I really felt like a grown-up was when I had to handle something completely on my own, without any help. I realized that no one was going to step in to make it easier for me, and I had to figure out the solution by myself. It wasn’t even something huge, just one of those moments where it hits you that you’re responsible for your own decisions now. That’s when I felt like, “Okay, this is what being an adult is like.”
