SCENE-1 {2020}
A family was living in Mumbai, India. While a child was playing downstairs, singing rhymes, he suddenly fell.
Child: “My leg is hurting! Ohhh…”
His mother came running to him.
Mother: “Why do you keep running downstairs? You fall and get injured every time!”
She helped her son up and was about to go inside when they heard someone outside.
Postman: “Mr. Roy! You have a post!”
The mother stepped out with her son.
Mother: “Wait, wait, I’m coming!”
She went to the postman and collected the post.
Mother (thinking to herself): “I thought it might be a letter to my father, Mr. Roy… but the postman gave me a cardboard box. Looks like a parcel.”
Still thinking, she took the parcel to the bedroom, where Mr. Roy was reading.
Mother: “Dad, after 10 years, you’ve received a parcel! Check what it is. Also, what are you reading? And where is Mom?”
In a deep voice, Mr. Roy responded.
Mr. Roy: “Wait, dear. I’m old now, already 63. How can you ask so many questions at once? Now, to answer you—yes, it’s true, after 10 years I got this parcel, but there’s no address on it. I’m reading Titanic. And your mother, Mrs. Roy, went to the market about an hour ago.”
Mother: “How many times are you going to read Titanic?” (She laughed.)
Mr. Roy: “It’s my wish, dear daughter! Now, tell me, what are you cooking for lunch?”
Mother: “I haven’t decided yet. I’m going to our relatives’ house now. Bye! Also, my son wants to stay with you.”
Mr. Roy: “Okay.”
Child: “Daada, please open this box!”
The child handed the box to his grandfather, who placed it on the bed. Mr. Roy carefully opened the box with scissors.
Inside, he found a book titled “LUCKY.” His hands began to tremble.
Child: “What happened, Daada?”
The child touched his grandfather’s hands gently and asked:
Child: “Daadu, can you tell me the story? Please, please!”
Mr. Roy: “Alright.”
Mr. Roy: “First, let me tell you why I want to share this story. It’s about a person who became selfish and mannered but still had a kind and good heart.”
Mr. Roy: “If you want to get rid of fear, you should listen to God’s stories. But if you want to feel fear, you should listen to this one.”
